One thing that makes Summit County unique is that nearly everyone is a transplant, and the leadership of Elements is no different. As we have taken time to get to know the culture of the county, we have found that the permanent residents are from everywhere you can think of. People move into the county weekly for all kinds of reasons: because they have always wanted to live in the mountains, to get closer to the ski hills, etc. We’d like to add to that list, that people also move to Summit County to be a part of a faith community that is obsessed with showing others the true nature and character of Christ.

The two guideposts that we use in Elements faith community to keep us on track are Family and Purpose. Purpose refers to the mission of God and how we live it out daily. Our goal is to serve Jesus through showing others an accurate (even if imperfect) representation of who Jesus is. Family refers to the deep connection we have with every believer, as spoken about in the New Testament. We are told that others will know we are Christ’s followers because of our love for each other (John 13:35), and we are constantly in the process of making that love more honest, open, humble, and godly. Anyone who moves to Summit County to be a part of our faith community will be immediately welcomed into that loving, imperfect, honest community.

If you think God may be stirring you to move to Summit County to be a part of Elements, we would love to begin a conversation with you. Please contact us at Leila@elementschurch.org, or 970-333-0601.
